Data visualization and analysis software.
RefViz is a text analysis and visualization tool to help give a graphical overview of your references.
RefViz uses keywords in titles, abstracts and notes to organize your references, using mathematical algorithms to divide each reference into concept based groups or clusters. This provides far more information than just a simple boolean search. Each group or cluster can then be examined and re-defined into smaller sub-groups with the user having complete control over the keywords and clusters used.
RefViz allows researchers to search on line databases such as ISI Web of Science and PubMed. It helps them to obtain the most relevant citations for their work and to detect patterns or associations within reference sets in a totally objective manner.
RefViz produces two types of data visualization to enable the user to review the collated data.
The Galaxy View

The Galaxy view provides an overview of the grouped records. The folder icons represent collective groups of logically related records with the folder size indicating the number of references in each group.
Each folder or individual reference can be clicked on to produce a detailed list in a reference viewer.
The Matrix View

The Matrix view provides a colour coordinated view of the record. Each point on the matrix can be selected to give an overview of the relationship of records contained in the group.
